Really confused? Well, that’s half the fun. But here’s an explanation:
Three playwrights were assigned three actors each.
Each playwright wrote down three imagined song titles and three props.
One of each playwright’s songs/props was assigned to each songwriter/prop designer. Thus, each songwriter wrote three songs, one for each playwright; and each playwright was given three songs, one from each songwriter. Ditto for props.
The playwrights took the songs and props they were given and worked them into short plays… or, rather, short musicals.
The three-hander musicals have rehearsed a few times and will put on a single script-in-hand, catch-as-catch-can, balls-to-the-wind performance on Sunday, August 26 at 7:00PM.
